Cocktail party fund raisers held in New York and Washington, helped to spread READ Global's mission. The turnout at both events was great, attendees got a a chance to donate, meet new people, and learn more about the organization.

On Bob's last day in Kyrgyzstan, he meets with important officials to determine if READ is right for Kyrgystan and how READ could potentially be the most successful there. Upon leaving, he experienses what the need for money makes people do.

Our first stop was to the home of one of the Library Management Committee members, who had prepared a typical Manipuri feast of rice, steamed vegetables, pickled bamboo shoots, dried fish and a variety of other fresh local fare.
