Kezang Choden joined READ Bhutan in July 2010 as a Field Coordinator. Before taking on the role of Country Manager, she served READ Bhutan as the Program Officer from 2012 to 2015, and Program Manager from 2016 to April 2019. With over eight year of experience in community development.
Focused on literacy, education, women’s empowerment and economic empowerment, Kezang is responsible for overseeing all operations and programs for READ in Bhutan. Kezang has managed several community development programs, worked with different donors and partners and has rich experience in effectively mobilizing communities for READ Bhutan’s development initiatives across all nine READ Centers in the country.
Before READ, Kezang worked for Kuzoo FM, a youth radio station as the program coordinator. She graduated from North Bengal University in India with honors in literature in 2006. She also has a post-graduate diploma in radio journalism from Asian College of Journalism in Chennai, India.
