Roger has a passion for numbers and helping people. He is a strategy consultant and seasoned banker in the developed world (M&A) as well as emerging markets (development banking) with a knack for supporting companies and the entrepreneurs behind them. Sustainability with all stakeholders and on all levels is key to success (but sometimes one needs a little help to get started). Currently he co-manages his own fund, Apple Tree Fund. A Fund that aims to support people to make their money work for them in a safe, liquid and profitable manner. Its investment strategy and risk management framework, Roger has developed over the course of 20+ years, which started when he was still a student. His love is equally distributed between people, animals and numbers. And trees.
Roger has a history of contributing to schools and students in developing countries. Furthermore he is an avid scuba diver and supporter of marine conservation programs. He was born and raised in the Netherlands, has lived in Timor-Leste and Bangladesh, and is currently living in Dubai, together with his wife. Furthermore, an abandoned street cat has recently decided to adopt the couple and allow them to provide food and shelter.
He holds a MSc degree in Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, from Tilburg University, the Netherlands.
