Description
This beautifully illustrated English-language book was created by youth in Bhutan through READ’s Bhutan Folktale project, which brings together community elders to tell stories to local children who then turn the stories into books. This book tells the true tale of Agay Phurba, a passionate protector of the endangered, black-necked cranes, which fly from Tibet to Bhutan each fall to birth and raise their young. Proceeds from the sale of this book will support READ’s literacy-building efforts in Bhutan.
